First Impression
In terms of Color way it is the same like Type X. Feel that this racket is well balance and slightly lighter than its counterpart.
Warm Ups
Since I’m used to the NS9000 already. I don’t have problem adjusting with this racket. Baseline drives are easy! I think its due to the Elastic Ti Technology. The whip effect is there. Shots seems effortless. Net drives are definitely fast. Its fun to play with Type S.
Game Time
The racket have good flexibility even though it is stiff. I find it a little hard to control the direction of the shuttles. Initially I have problem timing my net play. Most of the net shots are higher than usual due to control. So it’s a little tricky playing with this racket. Drops are relatively good. The racket has good respond.
You may feel that your defense is better when you use this racket. Therefore in terms of defending or blocking the shuttle, I find it easy due to the racket’s design and weight distribution.
My racket Reaction is fast and I feel like I can anticipate where the shuttle is whenever i hold this racket. Netkills are indeed good.
Conclusion
Speed is the name of the game. I would rather call it Type Speed. What I love about Type S is its whipping effect and its responsiveness.
Type S may be a combination on Mp90 and At800 Df. Power and speed. If you have good wrist work, I think you will love Type S. I’m surprised with the new development of the NS9000 by Yonex.
Creativity plus R&D made these NS9000 models worth trying. Well there is still more potential that have yet to exploit in the NS9000 series.
